This place is a terrible tourist trap. I spent 147,510 yen on a meal for one person at this restaurant (almost $1000). My chopsticks were the disposable ones you snap apart. The beef was of excellent quality. It was prepared in a plain manner to allow appreciation of the beef. It came with a few micro appetizers and a couple pieces of vegetables which were slightly cooked. There was nothing impressive what so ever about anything other than the quality of the beef. There is a copper plate in front of your seat, which is supposed to be hot. Mine was not turned on. It was cold when my food was given to me, and took a long time to get hot after I mentioned that it was never turned on. I had to sit with my cold food for a long time while I waited on the plate to get hot. My water was not refilled without requesting it, and still took a long time. The service and atmosphere were weak. However, the staff were very kind. While this place does have great quality beef, it is no where close to worth the price. There is a reason you will not see any locals in this restaurant.
